104 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul by 6 PM, 3 More Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Seoul city announced that 104 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Seoul over 18 hours from midnight to 6 p.m. on Friday, the 5th.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 3 more cases than the previous day, the 4th (101 cases), and 1 more than the same weekday last week, February 26th (103 cases). The total number of cases reported in a day was 129 on March 4th and 131 on February 26th.
Among the new confirmed cases in Seoul identified by 6 p.m. on March 5th, 2 were imported cases and the remaining 102 were domestic infections.
New confirmed cases from ongoing major cluster infections include 7 from a restaurant in Nowon-gu, 2 from a hospital in Dongdaemun-gu (occurred in February this year), and 1 each from a sauna in Eunpyeong-gu and a metropolitan area acquaintance gathering (occurred in February this year). Additionally, 4 more cases were linked to other cluster infections.

Among new cases not classified as cluster infections, there were 32 cases from contact with other confirmed patients, 11 from contact with confirmed patients outside Seoul, and 44 with unclear infection routes.
