New Cargo Volume Generation through Attracting NCQ Container Service Calling at Korea-China-Japan Ports
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 5th that it has newly secured the Korea-China-Japan route container service 'NCQ'.
The NCQ (New China Qingdao Pendulum) service, operating once a week, deploys three 1000TEU-class vessels from Koryo Shipping and Namseong Shipping. The port call sequence is Gwangyang-Qingdao-Dalian-Busan-Niigata-Akita-Tomakomai-Kamaishi-Sendai-Onahama-Imari-Busan-Gwangyang.
The first vessel deployed for this service, the
Jang Bang-sik, Head of Marketing, said, "The opening of this new route will help facilitate smooth cargo transportation to China and Japan regions and create new cargo volume for Gwangyang Port. We will do our best to stabilize this route and expand the use of Gwangyang Port through active promotion, aiming to achieve this year's target cargo volume."
