Gyeonggi-do Supports 'Home Shopping Broadcasts' to Help SMEs Expand Sales Channels
Products Suitable for Home Shopping Broadcasts Priced Over 39,900 Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) will support home shopping broadcasts this year to help 15 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province develop sales channels.
According to the province on the 5th, eligible SMEs must have their headquarters or factories located in Gyeonggi Province, offer products suitable for home shopping broadcasts priced at least 39,900 KRW, and maintain sufficient inventory to accommodate nationwide orders.
Selected companies will receive support for home shopping broadcast costs and can conduct a 50-minute sales broadcast through Home&Shopping, a home shopping channel dedicated to SMEs. Companies only need to bear the direct sales costs of the broadcast (approximately 8% for phone orders and 18% for mobile and internet orders).
Applications are open until April 5, and the selection process will include a first-round document review and a second-round MD evaluation to decide the supported companies. The evaluation criteria include marketability for broadcasting, growth potential, uniqueness, quality (taste, function, performance, effectiveness, etc.), product composition satisfaction, reliability, and suitability for broadcasting.
