The National Health Insurance Service Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Director Jang Su-mok) jointly hosted a seminar on March 3rd at the Ulsan City Council 1st floor Citizen Hall, together with the Ulsan City Council Environment and Welfare Committee and the Ulsan Health Solidarity, titled "Discussion on the Promotion Tasks for the Establishment of Ulsan Medical Center."
First, Professor Na Baek-ju from the University of Seoul presented on trends and expansion plans for public healthcare, and Kim Jeong-hoe, Center Director of the Health Insurance Research Institute, explained the current status of local medical centers and support plans for management balance.
Professor Ok Min-su from Ulsan University Hospital presented the medical status of the Ulsan area and proposed a model for the Ulsan Medical Center. National Assembly member Lee Yong-bin shared opinions on improving the preliminary feasibility study process.
Ulsan City Council Environment and Welfare Committee member Seo Hwi-woong announced plans to enact ordinances related to the establishment and operation of the Ulsan Medical Center.
This seminar was simultaneously broadcast live on YouTube to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Citizens participated in real-time through the YouTube channel and engaged in active Q&A sessions through two-way communication using comments.
