Lotte Shopping Launches This Year's Social Contribution Campaign... "Supporting the Dreams and Challenges of All Women"
Expansion from Existing Department Store Division to Entire Shopping Division, Focusing on Women's Emotional and Psychological Care
Continued Depression Awareness Campaign... Expansion of Psychological Counseling Centers and Mind Care Programs
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] To mark 2021, Lotte Shopping has set the theme of its flagship social contribution campaign 'Rejoice' as 'For the Shining You,' which supports women's self-esteem, dreams, and challenges, and will carry out various activities to promote women's happiness.
'Rejoice' is a social contribution campaign started by Lotte Department Store in 2017, considering that 70% of its customers and employees are women. Lotte Shopping plans to expand the campaign, which was previously conducted only in the department store division, to all shopping divisions including marts and supermarkets this year. The theme, which was limited to raising awareness of depression, has been broadened to support all women's dreams and challenges, making it more relatable to a wider audience. In the first half of this year, the focus will be on delivering the new message of Rejoice, and in the second half, practical programs will be implemented to support women's dreams and challenges.
To promote the new theme of Rejoice, Lotte Shopping will hold 'Rejoice Women's Week' for 10 days from March 5 to 14, coinciding with International Women's Day (March 8), across all shopping divisions. Stores will be decorated inside and outside with the Rejoice theme through broadcasts, monitors, and displays, and various promotions will be held by each division.
In collaboration with Su Shin-ji, the writer of the recently popular web drama 'Myeoneuragi,' a special 'Rejoice Eco Bag' was produced. The eco bag features designs by Su Shin-ji, conveying a message of support for women living diverse lives. Lotte Shopping has prepared eco bag giveaway events for each division to spread the message of Rejoice.
At Lotte Department Store, customers who take commemorative poses at Rejoice photo zones in 10 stores including the main store and Jamsil branch on International Women's Day and upload them on social media with designated hashtags will receive eco bags on a first-come, first-served basis. For each post, Lotte Shopping will donate 1,000 KRW to an NGO. An exhibition by floral artist Kim Da-jung will also be held on the basement first floor of the main store.
At Lotte Mart, customers who order over 50,000 KRW through Mart Mall's early morning delivery from March 8 to 12 will receive eco bags on a first-come, first-served basis. From March 4 to 17, discount events on items for women will be held depending on the store. Customer events giving away eco bags will also be held at LOB's and LotteON respectively.
Lectures on dreams and challenges will be held for employees featuring prominent figures chosen as role models by women. The schedule and speakers will be announced later and will be conducted flexibly depending on the COVID-19 situation. A campaign song for Rejoice is also being prepared for release.
Lotte Shopping will continue its previous campaign theme of raising awareness about depression. Within the first half of this year, the 2nd and 3rd branches of the psychological counseling center 'Rejoice' will open to strengthen psychological counseling for employees and customers. The Rejoice Mind Care Program will also be operated, providing psychological counseling and education to 300 low-income vulnerable groups through comprehensive social welfare centers nationwide.
