Dongjak-gu Joint Inspection of 1,021 Public Parking Spaces During Thawing Season
Joint Inspection by Public Officials and Structural Engineers Over 10 Days from the 2nd at 34 Public and Resident Priority Parking Lots with a Total of 1,021 Spaces for ▲Parking Facility Safety ▲Parking Environment Maintenance
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is conducting the "2021 Pre-Thaw Season Public Parking Lot Inspection by Officials and Experts" to prevent safety accidents in public parking lots ahead of the thaw season.
This inspection is being carried out from the 2nd to the 12th over ten days to identify and address issues in parking lot facilities caused by rising temperatures during the thaw season in advance, thereby creating a pleasant parking environment for residents.
The inspection targets a total of 1,021 spaces across 34 public parking lots and resident-priority parking lots. The district office, Dongjak-gu Facilities Management Corporation, and civil engineering structural technicians will jointly conduct inspections according to checklists covering safety of parking lot facilities and environmental maintenance.
In the facility safety category, the inspection will cover ▲damage to parking lot facilities and floor subsidence or heaving ▲cracks in fences and retaining walls of building-type parking lots ▲operation status of parking lot barriers and damage to guide signs.
In the environmental maintenance category, the inspection will verify ▲parking space line painting and compliance with installation standards ▲cleanliness of parking lots ▲presence of unnecessary stored items within parking lots.
Based on the inspection results, minor issues will be corrected immediately on-site, while significant defects in parking lot facilities will be actively reflected in future budgets for remedial action.
For more detailed information regarding this inspection, inquiries can be made to the Parking Management Division.
Meanwhile, last year, the district identified and addressed 7 safety-related issues such as leaks in parking lots and 38 environmental maintenance issues such as poor painting through the thaw season public parking lot safety inspection.
