Seocho-gu Implements 'Cyber Self-Inspection System' for Real Estate Brokerage Offices
Real Estate Agencies Improve Self-Verification of Legal Compliance... Internet Self-Inspection for About 1,500 Local Real Estate Agencies from March 1 to April 15
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seocho-gu will implement a 'Cyber Self-Inspection System' for real estate brokerage offices via the internet from March 1 to April 15 to prevent illegal brokerage activities and establish a sound transaction order.
The inspection targets approximately 1,500 real estate brokerage offices within the district.
Instead of the existing on-site inspection method, the district will alleviate issues of fairness caused by focused crackdowns in specific areas and the inconvenience of business disruption due to frequent inspections by conducting internet-based self-inspections. This also leads the way in untact administration to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The cyber self-inspection can be conducted by accessing the 'Seocho-gu Real Estate Information Plaza' website and proceeding through the ‘Brokerage Office Self-Inspection System’ section.
After real-name authentication using the brokerage office representative’s name and registration number, the registered information is verified, and a self-inspection checklist in the form of legal review and Q&A is completed.
The self-inspection items include ▲whether the original registration certificate, qualification certificate, and real estate brokerage commission rate table are posted inside the brokerage office ▲whether the representative’s name is displayed on outdoor advertisements ▲whether the representative’s signature and seal are on and the preservation status of contracts and brokerage object confirmation/explanation documents ▲whether prior consultation on brokerage commission with the client was conducted before contract preparation ▲whether there is any false indication or advertisement of the brokerage object.
The district plans to conduct on-site inspections for brokerage offices that do not participate in the self-inspection within the period, areas with frequent complaints, and other regions requiring visits.
For inquiries about the inspection method and other detailed information, contact the Real Estate Information Division of Seocho-gu Office.
