Uljin-gun Designates 'Uljin-gun Medical Center' as Dedicated Medical Institution for Child Abuse Cases
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] On the 24th, Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, designated Uljin-gun Medical Center as a 'Child Abuse Dedicated Medical Institution,' establishing a prompt and active support system for abused children, the county announced on the 27th.
The Child Abuse Dedicated Medical Institution is based on Articles 26 and 29 of the Child Welfare Act. It is responsible for counseling and physical treatment of abused children.
Shim Jae-wook, director of Uljin-gun Medical Center, stated, "As the representative medical institution in the region, the medical center will faithfully fulfill the role of a child abuse dedicated medical institution," and added, "We will establish a close cooperative system with Uljin-gun to actively support abused children in the area."
