'Insadeul-ui SNS' Clubhouse Users Surpass 10 Million
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] The audio social networking service (SNS) 'Clubhouse' has surpassed 10 million users worldwide.
The mobile data analytics platform 'App Annie' announced on the 26th that the total number of Clubhouse downloads worldwide reached 10.5 million (as of the 24th). The number of downloads in South Korea was 325,000.
By country, the numbers were 2.87 million in the United States, 1.63 million in Japan, 670,000 in Germany, and 550,000 in Brazil.
Clubhouse ranked 921st in the overall iOS app download rankings in South Korea on the 31st of last month, but achieved first place overall just ten days later on the 9th.
With explosive downloads worldwide, Clubhouse also ranked third in the global social networking download rankings, following WhatsApp and Facebook.
App Annie analyzed, "As the pandemic continues, consumers have used SNS apps as their main communication channels, which has expanded the market. This expansion has led to the emergence of new platforms like Clubhouse."

Clubhouse is a voice SNS launched in April last year by the U.S. startup 'Alpha Exploration.' Currently, only the iOS version has been released. With appearances by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, Clubhouse is regarded as an SNS for 'insiders' (a shortened form of insiders).
