Public Shopping, Pilot Operation of Live Commerce Begins
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Public Shopping announced on the 26th that it has revamped its online mall and simultaneously established a live commerce system, beginning pilot operations. To prepare for the live commerce business, Public Shopping established the related department 'MLC Business Division' in June last year and is currently piloting various content to ensure the stable establishment of mobile broadcasting technology systems.
The live commerce service 'Gongyeong Labang,' which started operations on the 22nd, is being evaluated as a unique broadcast different from home shopping broadcasts, approaching customers in a new way. Gongyeong Labang plans to reach customers with one mobile live broadcast on weekdays. After the live broadcast, the video is available for rewatching and product purchase in VOD format. Additionally, for partner companies, a 'dedicated streaming app' is supported, allowing any partner company listed on Public Shopping to easily conduct filming, broadcasting, and sales directly through this app, operating as an open platform.
