The Gaya Culture Festival is Gimhae City's representative festival, started in 1962 to commemorate the founding spirit of King Suro, who established the Garak Kingdom, to inherit and develop the excellent Gaya culture, and to promote citizen harmony and unity. Last year, the festival was canceled to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Any citizen can participate in the survey, and the survey items include opinions on whether to hold the festival and the reasons.
The reasons for holding the festival include securing the continuity of Gimhae City's representative festival, holding a non-face-to-face festival to overcome COVID blues, guaranteeing activities of artistic groups, and contributing to revitalizing the local economy.
The reasons for canceling the festival include the risk of COVID-19 spreading in the local community, reallocating the festival budget to disaster relief funds, and insufficient festival outcomes compared to the budget invested.
