[Photo] COVID-19 Vaccine Safely Arrives at Jungnang-gu Health Center

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) announced on the 25th that the COVID-19 vaccines have safely arrived at the Jungnang-gu Public Health Center ahead of the first vaccination.
The vaccines, sufficient for 600 people, departed from the Gtree BNT logistics center in Icheon City and arrived at the Jungnang-gu Public Health Center around 10 a.m. with the cooperation of military and police forces.
The health center staff on standby received the vaccines, carefully checked their condition, and safely stored them in a dedicated vaccine refrigerator maintained at 2~8℃.
The district will begin the first round of vaccinations at 9 a.m. on the 26th, starting with care workers at Yurin Wongwang Nursing Home. Prior to this, a pre-simulation including eligibility verification and preliminary examination was conducted at the vaccination site in the health center to ensure a swift and safe vaccination process.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “I am pleased to take the first step toward ending COVID-19,” adding, “We will do our best to complete vaccinations within this year so that residents can return to their normal daily lives.”
The first vaccination targets 2,745 workers and residents under 65 years old at nursing hospitals and nursing facilities, conducted through both hospital-based vaccinations and visits to the health center.

The district has designated Jungnang Cultural and Sports Center as a vaccination center and selected over 40 hospitals and clinics as entrusted medical institutions to ensure that all residents who wish to receive the vaccine can do so quickly and safely.
