View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Mirae Asset Daewoo and IBK Investment & Securities were selected as the outstanding investment banks (IB) for the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets in 2020.
On the 25th, the Korea Exchange announced that it selected and awarded Mirae Asset Daewoo and IBK Investment & Securities as outstanding IBs considering their listing performance in the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets. The selection criteria included last year's market contribution and the appropriateness of IB operations. Mirae Asset Daewoo and IBK Investment & Securities were also selected as outstanding IBs in 2019.
The Exchange has been selecting outstanding IBs through appropriate evaluations of IB underwriting work since 2015 to revitalize listings in the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets.

Son Byung-doo, Chairman of the Exchange, said, "Despite the difficult conditions caused by COVID-19, there were many successful initial public offering (IPO) cases, and outstanding IBs and lead managers played a significant role in discovering and listing excellent innovative companies." He added, "The Exchange will continue to promote various projects this year to develop the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets, such as supplementing the technology special case system and easing the burden on KONEX companies."
