Celltrion Supports 'Incheon Startup Park' to Build Songdo Bio Valley
Participation in the Incheon Startup Park Opening Ceremony
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] On the 25th, Celltrion participated in the opening ceremony of the ‘Incheon Startup Park’ hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, expressing its commitment to building a bio valley in Songdo and fostering bio startups.
The opening ceremony of the Incheon Startup Park held at the Songdo Startup Park in Incheon was attended by Seo Jung-jin, Honorary Chairman of the Celltrion Group; Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups; Park Nam-chun, Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City; and Cho Yong-byeong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group. The Incheon Startup Park development project is a support and development initiative for startups divided into the public-led program ‘POOM’ operated by Incheon Technopark and ‘S Bridge: Incheon’ (hereinafter Shinhan Square Bridge), led by a private consortium of Shinhan and Celltrion.
The Shinhan Square Bridge program, in which Celltrion participates, launched its first group consisting of about 80 companies last November, covering three tracks: accelerating for rapid growth and investment attraction through short-term support, incubation for strengthening business capabilities and growth support, and global membership for global market entry and investment linkage, and has now entered full operation.
Celltrion jointly developed a detailed fostering program in the ‘bio convergence’ field together with Shinhan for this program. For a total of five selected companies through screening, specialized support programs are provided by theme, including ▲ linkage to professional consulting ▲ support for demonstration resources ▲ development of collaboration models ▲ global market entry and investment linkage.
