Gwangju and Jeonnam to Receive Up to 40mm of Rain Over Two Days Starting the 25th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Rain is forecasted in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration announced on the 24th that due to a low-pressure system moving eastward near Shanghai, China, rain that started on the morning of the 25th along the western coast of Jeonnam will expand to the entire region by the afternoon.
The rain is expected to fall heavily between the night of the 25th and the morning of the 26th.
The expected precipitation during this period is 5 to 40 mm.
The rain will ease from the daytime of the 26th and mostly stop by the afternoon.
Temperatures will be similar to or slightly higher than the average.
The morning low temperatures on the 25th and 26th will be 0 to 6℃ and 3 to 7℃, respectively, while the daytime highs will be 8 to 12℃ and 10 to 14℃.
Strong winds are also expected.
From the night of the 25th, a strong wind advisory is expected to be issued for 11 locations in Jeonnam.
The affected areas are Geomundo, Chodo, Jangheung, Jindo, Wando, Haenam, Gangjin, Suncheon, Gwangyang, Yeosu, Boseong, and Goheung.

A Gwangju Meteorological Administration official urged, “From the afternoon of the 25th, strong winds will blow mainly along the southern coast of Jeonnam, so please take care in managing facilities and be cautious of safety accidents.”
