Investing 200 Million Won to Provide Free Milk School Meals Starting March
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Hampyeong-gun announced on the 24th that starting in March, it will provide free milk feeding support to all elementary and middle school students in the area.
For this project, a budget of 200 million KRW will be invested, and the county plans to continuously supply essential nutrients to growing students through free milk feeding at schools to maintain health and improve physical strength.
Since last year, the county has expanded free milk feeding not only to basic support recipients such as national basic livelihood security recipients, low-income families, and single-parent families but also to all elementary school students.
This year, in addition to national and local government support projects, the county has increased its budget by 60 million KRW, enabling about 300 middle school students in the area to additionally benefit from free milk feeding.
