According to the Jeju Coast Guard on the 24th, a report was received that a crew member on a 29-ton coastal longline fishing vessel registered in Hallim, operating about 31 kilometers north of Jeju Port, Jeju City, was suffering severe abdominal pain around 4:03 PM the previous day.
In response, the Jeju Coast Guard dispatched a 500-ton patrol ship patrolling nearby waters, arriving at the scene around 4:23 PM. They boarded patient A and a guardian onto the patrol ship and safely handed them over to a 119 ambulance waiting at Jeju Port around 5:25 PM.
