[2021 Asia Fund Awards] From Consultation to Aftercare... Consumer Protection A+
Best Fund Distributor - Samsung Securities
Samsung Securities was selected as the Best Distributor in the 2021 Asia Economy Fund Awards.
Since establishing the Consumer Protection Center in 2019, Samsung Securities has significantly strengthened its company-wide consumer protection efforts. The company revised its Financial Consumer Protection Charter and conducts an additional review from the financial consumer's perspective before products and services are offered.
Additionally, Samsung Securities received an A+ rating for four consecutive years in the Korea Financial Investment Consumer Protection Foundation's "2020 Fund Distributor Evaluation." This is the first time in the industry that the highest rating has been achieved for four consecutive years.
In particular, Samsung Securities focuses on mystery shopping and step-by-step product sales systems. Mystery shopping aims to enhance service levels and strengthen customer investment protection through quarterly internal monitoring. Since 2020, the scope of mystery shopping evaluations has been expanded to include all Private Bankers (PBs), and open monitoring has been additionally conducted to raise the standard of employee fund consultations.

The step-by-step product sales system has been built more precisely. The "Early Warning System," operated as a pre-management system for product sales, has become a mechanism for branches to conduct self-monitoring to prevent incomplete sales in advance. In addition to early warnings, a "Financial Product Sales Inspection Checklist" has been introduced to review the entire consultation process to prevent incomplete sales by ensuring no necessary steps are omitted during product sales. After customers subscribe to products, three types of post-management services are provided: incomplete sales compensation service, purchase withdrawal service, and financial care.
