Suncheon-si Completes COVID-19 Vaccination Preparations... Starting from the 26th
Priority Vaccination for 1,777 Workers and Residents of Nursing Hospitals and Care Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 23rd that it will begin the first round of COVID-19 vaccinations for 1,777 priority recipients, including workers and residents of nursing hospitals and nursing facilities, starting from the 26th.
According to the city, there are a total of 32 facilities designated for the first priority vaccination. Eight nursing hospitals will conduct vaccinations on-site, 22 nursing facilities contracted with designated physicians will receive vaccinations through visits by the respective medical institutions along with public health center administrative staff, and two nursing facilities without designated physicians will have vaccinations carried out both by visits and at the public health center.
The first COVID-19 vaccination requires two doses in total. After the first dose starting on the 26th, the second dose is scheduled to be administered in April to May.
Starting next month, sequential vaccinations will be given to approximately 3,500 first responders to COVID-19, including staff at high-risk medical institutions such as general hospitals and hospitals, 119 fire department paramedics, and public health center quarantine personnel.
For the general public, vaccination availability will be flexible depending on vaccine supply, but it is expected that vaccinations can be received from July at 93 vaccination centers and designated medical institutions.
