R&D Technology Demand Survey Conducted for Smart Factory Advancement
Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team Conducts Practical Survey on Technology Names, Keywords, Development Necessity, and Expected Effects
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group (Director Park Han-gu, KOSMO) announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a technology demand survey to actively promote the government-wide 'Smart Manufacturing Innovation Technology Development Project' for the advancement of smart factories.
The 'Smart Manufacturing Innovation Technology Development Project' is a project scheduled to be carried out over five years from next year until 2026, with a total budget of 434.1 billion KRW (328.8 billion KRW in national funds). It passed the preliminary feasibility study by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Ministry of Science and ICT last November.
KOSMO will conduct the technology demand survey to prepare detailed plans for next year's support tasks, enabling smooth support for this project as soon as the next year's budget is confirmed in the National Assembly this year.
The survey items will include practical investigations through companies, universities and research institutes, academic societies, or associations interested in and willing to participate in the smart manufacturing innovation R&D project. These will cover proposed technology names, keywords, core smart manufacturing technology fields, necessity of development, development goals and content, and expected effects.
The survey will be conducted from the 24th until April 20th, and participation is possible through the Comprehensive Management System for SME Technology Development Projects (www.smtech.go.kr).
