Sogin-gong, Recruiting Operators for 'Sogongin Specialized Support Center'... Project Budget 180 Million Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 23rd that it will recruit new operators for the Small Business Specialized Support Centers. The application period is until the 23rd of next month.
The Small Business Specialized Support Centers assist in the organization and collaboration of small businesses. They also function as infrastructure to support increased sales, employment, and competitiveness of small businesses. Small businesses are defined as companies in the manufacturing industry with fewer than 10 regular employees.
This year, about two institutions will be selected. The Small Enterprise and Market Service will make the final selection through document review, on-site inspection, and presentation evaluation. Selected institutions will receive approximately 180 million KRW in project funds necessary for operating the specialized support centers and carrying out related projects. The center operation period is from May 1st to January 31st of next year.
Non-profit organizations engaged in small business-related fields can apply. Applicants must meet all four qualification requirements: ▲number of small businesses in the same industry within the administrative district ▲whether it is a non-profit organization related to small businesses ▲dedicated consultation and project space ▲possession of operational and professional personnel.
Starting this year, the Small Enterprise and Market Service will expand and reorganize specialized programs reflecting the characteristics of each industry to flexibly respond to rapidly changing manufacturing environments such as non-face-to-face and digital transformation. Support tailored to the characteristics of industrial clusters will also be expanded by granting autonomy in the operation of the specialized support center projects.
Meanwhile, the Small Business Specialized Support Centers, which began in 2013, currently operate 32 centers nationwide as of this month. Last year, 34 centers operated 399 projects supporting 6,386 small businesses. It was found that 44.8% of the supported small businesses experienced increased sales.
