‘2021 Seocho-gu Village Community Project’ Contest
From the 22nd to 26th, applications open for resident groups or organizations of 3 or more living or registered in Seocho-gu... Around 31 projects in 4 fields, totaling 71 million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu is holding a public contest for the '2021 Seocho-gu Village Community Project' from the 22nd to the 26th to strengthen residents' autonomy capabilities and promote the revitalization of village communities.
The '2021 Seocho-gu Village Community Project' is a public contest project aimed at supporting various community activities where residents themselves plan village activities and solve common problems through communication and cooperation to restore neighbor networks even amid the COVID-19 situation.
This contest project covers four areas: ▲Our Village Support Project ▲Social Problem-Solving Project (Our Village Forum) ▲Alley Creation Project ▲Our Village Space Support Project, with about 31 projects totaling 71 million KRW.
In particular, this year, the Social Problem-Solving Project (Our Village Forum) is newly launched to set village agendas and devise solutions to problems through village-level forums addressing social issues raised by COVID-19 (such as care, climate crisis, safe villages, resource circulation).
Applications are open to any resident group or organization of three or more people residing or living in Seocho-gu.
The contest areas are open proposals, and anyone can freely suggest projects that contribute to solving local problems or revitalizing village communities through communication and harmony among neighbors.
Resident groups or organizations wishing to participate in the village community project should receive prior consultation from the Seocho Village Ecosystem Support Group and then submit the proposal and related documents online to the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center from the 22nd to the 26th.
If selected for the village community contest project, support ranging from 2 million KRW to 4 million KRW will be provided per project.
The district plans to select the final support recipients through resident participation evaluation and expert review in March, the Village Community Committee review, and the Local Subsidy Committee review in April, and announce the results on the Seocho-gu website or notify individuals separately.
Due to COVID-19, the project briefing session will be held online, and detailed information about the '2021 Seocho-gu Village Community Contest Project' can be found by searching 'Seocho Village Ecosystem Support Group' on YouTube.
