According to Jeonnam Province on the 21st, Governor Kim visited the site the day before to thoroughly manage the response site and prevent the spread of local infections, as 15 confirmed cases occurred consecutively in the Muan area since the 16th.
At the site, Governor Kim listened to the COVID-19 response status, difficulties, and field opinions, and expressed gratitude to the related public officials who are fully responding to infectious disease prevention to protect the safety of the residents from COVID-19.
Governor Kim said, “If you have been to other regions, you should visit the nearest screening clinic to receive a free test,” and urged, “Until COVID-19 is eradicated, do not lower your guard and gather all administrative power to prevent local infections.”
Jeonnam Province urgently dispatched epidemiological investigators to Muan County to quickly identify the movements of confirmed patients and contacts at risk of infection through CCTV and GPS analysis, and is conducting intensive epidemiological investigations to find the source of infection while maintaining a 24-hour continuous quarantine monitoring system.
