Korea Railroad to Recruit 870 New Employees in First Half of Year... Expanding Employment Opportunities for Local Talent
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) will hire 870 new employees through an open recruitment process in the first half of this year.
According to KORAIL on the 21st, the recruitment will be conducted separately for 750 general open positions, 80 veterans recommended (socially equitable talents), and 40 positions for persons with disabilities.
The number of hires by job category is 115 for office sales, 30 for driving, 253 for vehicles, 195 for civil engineering, 22 for architecture, and 255 for electrical communication.
KORAIL reflected the organizational restructuring implemented last year by dividing the country into six regions, creating conditions for local talents to apply in each area.
In particular, this year, according to the Special Act on the Creation and Development of Innovation Cities, 21% of the nationwide and Chungcheong region recruitment will be selected from graduates of universities or high schools located in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong areas, where KORAIL headquarters is located.
KORAIL will accept applications on its website from 2:00 PM on the 2nd to 2:00 PM on the 5th of next month. Successful candidates will be determined through document verification, written tests, and interviews, and a blind recruitment process will be applied to focus on job competency evaluation.
