This inspection is being conducted through on-site verification surveys under thorough quarantine guidelines, with participation from village officials and village heads in each village, in relation to the abolition of the livelihood benefit support obligation.
From this year, with the abolition of the livelihood benefit support obligation, elderly or single-parent beneficiaries can receive basic living benefits as long as they meet the income and property support criteria of the beneficiary household.
Gyeongbuk Province expects about 9,000 households in the province to newly benefit from the abolition of the livelihood benefit support obligation.
In the case of Ugok-myeon, Goryeong-gun, about 30 households related to this have been identified, and for low-income groups in need of practical help, customized welfare services will be supported through continuous monitoring.
