156 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul by 6 PM... 5 More Than Previous Day

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that from midnight to 6 p.m. on the 18th, there were 156 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul over an 18-hour period.
This is 5 more cases compared to 151 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day. Among the new confirmed cases in Seoul on this day, 3 were imported from overseas, and the remaining 153 were domestic infections.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul had remained below 200 from the 7th of last month until the 15th of this month, dropping to as low as 90 cases on the 8th. However, it sharply rebounded to 258 cases on the 16th.
