[Photo] Minister Lee Jae-gap Greeting the Pilot Union Chairman
On the 18th, Lee Jae-gap, Minister of Employment and Labor, greeted Park Jun, Chairman of the Pilots' Union, at a field meeting for the airline employment retention subsidy program held at Jeju Air's Seoul office in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The meeting was organized to share Jeju Air's experience in maintaining employment through joint labor-management efforts despite the sharp decline in air travel demand following the COVID-19 pandemic and to hear about any difficulties. Since last year, Jeju Air has maintained employment by having executives partially return their salaries and reducing welfare benefits through labor-management agreement, while receiving government employment retention subsidies. / Reporter Kim Hyun-min kimhyun81@
