[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As of 1:30 PM on the 18th, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that a total of 4 confirmed cases have occurred, including 2 in Gimhae and 1 each in Changwon and Miryang.
Both confirmed cases in Gimhae are family members of a confirmed case in Busan and were classified as cases 2086 and 2087 after testing positive. It was confirmed that five family members gathered in Busan on the 12th.
The confirmed case in Changwon was classified as case 2088 after testing positive following contact with a confirmed case family member. Epidemiological investigation revealed that five family members gathered in Gyeongbuk from the 12th to the 13th.
Gyeongnam Province is cooperating with local quarantine authorities to determine whether there were any violations of quarantine rules, such as private gatherings of more than five people. Administrative measures, including fines, are also being considered if violations are found.
The confirmed case in Miryang was classified as case 2085 after testing positive following symptom onset during quarantine as a family member of a confirmed case.
