Donghak Gaemi Net Bought Over 1 Trillion Won... But KOSPI Falls Below 3100
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] The KOSPI index fell below the 3100 level during trading on the 18th.
At around 12:54 PM on the same day, the KOSPI index dropped 34.40 points from the previous day to 3099.69. As of 1:22 PM, it was trading at 3096.71, down 37.53 points (1.17%). The KOSPI had retreated to 3084.67 at the close on the 9th but recorded gains for three consecutive days thereafter.
The KOSPI started the day in a downward trend but rose slightly at one point during trading. However, after about an hour from the market open, it began to decline and widened its losses. Individual investors were net buyers with 985.9 billion KRW, while institutions and foreigners sold 502.2 billion KRW and 485.7 billion KRW, respectively.

The KOSDAQ, which opened at 980.01, also retreated to 970.18, down 9.60 points (0.98%) at the same time. While individual investors were net buyers with 269.3 billion KRW, foreigners and institutions were net sellers with 154.9 billion KRW and 94.0 billion KRW, respectively, leading the decline.
