The Korea Golf Association (KGA) announced on the 18th, "The DB Group Korea Women's Open will be held over four days starting June 17 at Rainbow Hills Golf Course with a total prize money of 1.2 billion KRW." Last year, the tournament was held at Bears Best Cheongna Golf Course in Incheon with a total prize money of 1 billion KRW. The total prize money has been increased by 20%, raising the winner's prize from 250 million KRW to 300 million KRW. DB Group and KGA explained, "We have increased the prize money to match the stature of a national title."
Tournaments with a winner's prize of over 300 million KRW now number three, including the Hanwha Classic (350 million KRW) and the Hana Financial Group Championship (300 million KRW). After on-site inspections mainly of golf courses wishing to host, Rainbow Hills Golf Course was finally selected as the venue. The new battleground is a 27-hole public golf course operated by DB Group. It was designed by the world-renowned course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. The tournament will be held on the Nam Course and the East Course.

The fairways are planted with Kentucky bluegrass, a Western grass. The course is narrow with many obstacles such as ponds and bunkers, requiring precise and strategic play. It has never hosted a professional tournament before. DB Group and KGA will create optimal conditions by setting up a driving range, short game practice area, bunker practice area, and practice greens on the West Course, which will be closed during the tournament. DB Group has become the new sponsor of the Korea Women's Open starting this year.
