Gimhae City Puts Full Effort into Fostering Future Agricultural Workforce... 6.8 Billion KRW Support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 18th, Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced that it will invest 6.9 billion KRW to foster future agricultural manpower by supporting young startup farmers and revitalizing return-to-farming and return-to-village initiatives.
First, to support young startup farmers, a total of 4.819 billion KRW will be invested in 10 projects including young startup farmers' farming settlement support, establishment of smart management practice rental farms, smart farm youth startup incubation support, and fostering startup farmer learning groups to promote the influx of young people into the agricultural industry and help them settle stably.
In the return-to-farming and return-to-village sector, 1.925 billion KRW will be provided for six projects including return-to-farming startup support, housing purchase support for returnees, specialized startup education for returnees, and stable settlement support for returnees.
Moreover, through four state-of-the-art smart management practice farms, young farmers under the age of 40 will be supported for three years to practice greenhouse management, cultivation techniques, production, and distribution.
