Yeongcheon City Reopens Cultural Facilities Including 'Imgo Seowon'... Admission Limited to 50% Capacity
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Choi Ki-moon) reopened multi-use facilities related to the 3 Seonhyeon (Seonhyeon) operated by the city starting from the 17th, following the lowering of COVID-19 social distancing to level 1.5.
The reopened facilities include Imgo Seowon, the birthplace of Poeun Jeong Mong-ju, Choi Musun Science Museum & Video Experience Center, Nogye Literature Museum, and Traditional Culture Experience Center. However, according to national and public facility quarantine guidelines, the number of visitors is limited to 50%. A free experience event at the Choi Musun Video Experience Center is also being held.
A Yeongcheon city official stated, "We hope this will provide cultural benefits that allow citizens, who are economically struggling due to COVID-19, to enjoy cultural activities without burden and have some time to rest."
