Chungnam Seafood Products Exported to the U.S. Worth 164.7 Billion Won Over 5 Years
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Seafood products produced in Chungnam are set to be exported to the United States.
According to Chungnam Province on the 17th, the province signed a seafood export agreement worth $150 million (KRW 164.7 billion) over five years with Wang Global Net the day before.
Wang Global Net is a subsidiary established in the U.S. in 1974 by the domestic food trading company ‘Samjin Global Net’ that imports Korean food products and distributes them locally in the U.S. The company reportedly operates a total of 13 directly managed stores locally and has secured over 2,300 trading partners.
Previously, the province held two export consultation meetings with Wang Global Net and agreed to mutually cooperate in pioneering the U.S. market for seafood products from the Chungnam region.

Yang Seung-jo, Governor of Chungnam Province, said, "The province aims to increase the export value of local seafood products to $300 million by 2026," adding, "We hope Wang Global Net will achieve greater success on the global stage together with Chungnam."
