[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] Choi Ki-young, Minister of Science and ICT, stated on the 17th, "It is difficult to guarantee the development and distribution of a domestically produced COVID-19 vaccine within this year."
Minister Choi responded to a question about the schedule for domestic vaccine development at the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting Committee plenary meeting, saying, "It is difficult to guarantee by December," and added, "I think we can reach Phase 3 clinical trials within this year, but problems may arise during the testing process, so it is hard to say definitively."
