Goheung Fire Station Distributes Pictograms Prioritizing Evacuation in Multi-Use Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 17th, Goheung Fire Station announced plans to distribute "Evacuate First" pictograms to raise awareness of the importance of evacuation stairs in multi-use facilities, aiming to create and spread a culture that prioritizes evacuation.
Due to COVID-19, the pictograms will initially be attached only to the main entrances that have been opened to minimize confusion during emergencies. To raise awareness of the importance of evacuation stairs among the unspecified majority, the pictograms will be placed in easily visible locations, selected according to the conditions of the multi-use facility buildings.
Along with attaching the pictograms, safety education for related personnel will be conducted to prioritize evacuation during fires. Promotion of "Evacuate First in Case of Fire" will also be carried out using online and offline channels such as SNS, blogs, and newspapers.
Additionally, there will be focused crackdowns on the closure of emergency exits in multi-use facilities, along with safety management guidance to prevent falls from emergency exits in multi-use businesses.
