Changwon City Officially Launches 'Local Quarantine Job Project' for the First Half of This Year
Implementation Advanced to Start from February 22
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, has advanced the start of the '2021 Local Quarantine Job Project' from the originally planned March 2 to February 22, implementing it early for three months, thereby officially launching the public job project for the first half of 2021.
The city decided on the early implementation, judging that it is important to strengthen the quarantine system especially when social distancing measures are being eased.
In the Local Quarantine Job Project, 325 people were selected for 136 workplaces involved in preventing the spread of COVID-19, including restricting access to multi-use facilities, temperature checks, and local daily quarantine activities.
Participants work five days a week, 20 hours (15 hours for those aged 65 and over), and receive a monthly salary, snack allowance, and weekly/monthly leave allowances based on the 2021 minimum wage (hourly wage of 8,720 KRW).
