Yeongcheon City and Yeongcheon Office of Education Sign 'Business Agreement' to Promote Lifelong Learning City

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement at the Yeongcheon Office of Education to establish infrastructure for a lifelong learning city.
At the signing ceremony, eight officials including Mayor Choi Ki-moon and Education Director Yang Jae-young attended and exchanged opinions on ways to strengthen the local network to revitalize lifelong learning.
Both parties promised mutual cooperation for nurturing talented individuals, operation and development of youth education-related programs, and promotion of exchanges for hosting the Gyeongsangbuk-do Lifelong Learning Expo.
Yeongcheon City has made various efforts to build lifelong learning infrastructure, such as establishing a dedicated lifelong learning department through expert consulting, enacting ordinances, securing related budgets, and encouraging citizen participation.

Mayor Choi Ki-moon pledged, "We will actively share experiences and know-how related to lifelong learning and develop joint educational programs. We will actively discuss ways for both institutions to coexist and create a top-tier lifelong learning city nationwide."
