Hapcheon-gun Supports Early Retirement of Old Diesel Vehicles and Purchase of New LPG Cargo Trucks
Early Vehicle Scrappage and New Car Purchase Applications Accepted from February 22 to March 5
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 16th that it will implement the early scrapping support project for old diesel vehicles and the new purchase support project for LPG cargo vehicles in 2021 as part of fine dust reduction measures.
Owners of vehicles eligible for early scrapping and applicants for new LPG cargo vehicle purchases can apply at the Environmental Sanitation Division from February 22 to March 5 by bringing their ID card, vehicle registration certificate, and periodic inspection result sheet.
The county plans to designate dates by eup and myeon for reception in accordance with COVID-19 quarantine rules.
For early scrapping, the support ceiling is 3 million KRW for vehicles under 3.5 tons gross weight, but this year, the support ceiling is expanded up to 6 million KRW for livelihood vehicles (basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income bracket), commercial vehicles, small business owners, and vehicles without developed emission reduction devices. The new purchase of LPG cargo vehicles will receive a fixed support of 4 million KRW.
