Sancheong-gun Provides Partial Support for Volunteer Caregiver Employment Costs
For Volunteers with Over 500 Hours, Up to 400,000 KRW Per Person Annually
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will continue to support part of the cost when volunteers who have worked hard for the local community hire caregivers this year, following last year.
The county announced on the 16th that it will implement the ‘2021 Volunteer Caregiving Service Support Project.’
This project has been implemented since last year to actively encourage volunteer activities and to reward the efforts of volunteers.
The support target is residents registered on the ‘1365 Volunteer Portal’ with a total accumulated volunteer activity time of 500 hours or more.
If the volunteer or their spouse hires a caregiver, caregiving costs will be supported, with a maximum annual support of up to 400,000 KRW per volunteer (80,000 KRW per day for up to 5 days).
Volunteers who wish to receive caregiving cost support can apply through the Sancheong-gun Volunteer Center, Sancheong-gun Office Resident Welfare Division, or the Eup/Myeon offices.
A county official said, “We will continue to promote various reward projects to revitalize volunteering and actively support volunteer activities.”
