[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Five confirmed COVID-19 cases occurred in Ulsan due to infections from family gatherings during the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to Ulsan city health authorities on the 16th, as of 9 a.m., five people tested positive in COVID-19 diagnostic tests. They were classified as Ulsan cases number 964 to 968.
Cases 964 (in their 40s), 965 (teenager), and 966 (under 10 years old, all from Nam-gu) are family members living in the same household as case 962, who was confirmed the day before.
Ulsan case 967 (in their 30s, Nam-gu) is the younger sibling of case 964, and it was identified that the two met during a family gathering over the Lunar New Year holiday.
Case 968 (in their 60s, Buk-gu) is a family member of case 963, who was classified as part of a chain infection originating from a large local workplace.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases related directly or indirectly to this workplace has increased to a total of eight, including five employees.
