Netflix Movie 'Night in Paradise' Released on April 9
"The Opportunity to Showcase the Genre Aesthetics and Excellence of Korean-style Noir to the World"
Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced on the 16th that the film "Night in Paradise" will be released in over 190 countries worldwide on April 9. It was the only Korean film invited to the non-competitive section of the Venice International Film Festival last year. Alberto Barbera, the festival's director, praised it as "the best gangster film recently produced in Korea."

The film is a noir depicting the story of a man targeted by an organization and a woman standing at the end of her life. Directed by Park Hoon-jung, who also directed "New World," "V.I.P.," and "The Witch," it stars Um Tae-goo, Jeon Yeo-been, Cha Seung-won, Lee Ki-young, and Park Ho-san. Netflix stated, "It will be an opportunity to once again showcase the genre aesthetics and excellence of Korean-style noir to the world."
