Lotte Mart has newly introduced 'Batavia' and 'Butter Green,' European-style salad vegetables.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Mart announced on the 16th that, considering the continuous growth in demand for salad vegetables, it has newly introduced European-style salad vegetables called ‘Batavia’ and ‘Butter Green’.
Batavia is a red and blue leafy vegetable with a soft texture and a sweet, slightly bitter taste, while Butter Green is characterized by a crunchy texture and sweetness.
Recently, as more time is spent at home and customers have become more conscious of weight gain and body shape management, sales of salad vegetable products from the 1st of last month to the 14th of this month increased by 21.7% compared to the same period last year.
At Lotte Mart Seocho and Chuncheon stores, ‘GAP Salatrio’ and ‘GAP Crystal Lettuce’, harvested with roots intact and commercialized, were launched. Salatrio is a mixed product of Oak Red, Oak Green, and Crispy Red, allowing customers to enjoy the flavors of all three at once, while Crystal Lettuce offers a crunchy, refreshing texture and sweetness.
