Dongshin University Career Development Center Achieves Highest Grade for 5 Consecutive Years in Annual Performance Evaluation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Dongshin University’s University Job Center was the only university in the Honam and Jeju regions to receive the highest rating of excellence for five consecutive years in last year’s performance evaluation.
According to Dongshin University on the 15th, the Korea Employment Information Service under the Ministry of Employment and Labor recently conducted an annual performance evaluation of 108 university job centers nationwide for last year, and Dongshin University’s University Job Center received the highest rating of “Excellence.”
With this, Dongshin University has achieved the distinction of being selected as an excellent institution for five consecutive years since 2016. Dongshin University is the only university in the Honam and Jeju regions to have received the highest rating during this period.
Dongshin University was highly evaluated for establishing a systematic career and employment support system through the construction of a one-stop career and employment support infrastructure and for operating practical talent development programs in collaboration with local industries.
Despite difficulties in operating programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the center contributed to the proper career setting and enhancement of employment capabilities among young people by providing various online and offline programs such as essential job qualification courses, AI interview support, and employment camps.
Additionally, by utilizing the visiting Youth DS Bus program, the center provided various employment support services to local youth and operated diverse programs such as employment special lectures and interview consulting, striving to improve the employment rate of the local youth population.

An Min-ju, acting director of Dongshin University’s University Job Center, said, “This year, we plan to carry out various projects for systematic career planning and active employment support for students and local youth,” adding, “As a university that received an excellent evaluation, we will serve as a driving force for other university job centers in the region.”
