Gwangju University Tax Management Department Receives Chairman's Award from Korea Productivity Center for 'Outstanding Talent'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Students from the Tax Management Department at Gwangju University are attracting attention by receiving commendations awarded to outstanding talents selected nationwide.
According to Gwangju University on the 15th, five students?4th-year Park Jang-hwan and Choi Hwa-hyun, and 3rd-year Wi Ga-hyun, Park I-seul, and Kim Hee-joo?recently received the President's Award from the Korea Productivity Center.
This award is a nationwide honor given annually to top achievers in the ERP Information Management academic performance category.
The Tax Management Department at Gwangju University has maintained its reputation as a cradle for nurturing tax management talents, with four students receiving the same award last year.
Shin Chun-woo, head of the Tax Management Department at Gwangju University, said, “The Tax Management Department at Gwangju University aims to cultivate professionals in tax law and tax accounting fields, enhancing students' educational outcomes through differentiated education. Meanwhile, the Tax Management Department at Gwangju University is building practical computerized tax accounting programs for tax firms and ERP solutions for corporate practice to train accounting and tax experts who will lead the 4th Industrial Revolution. It also supports various competency development programs for core tax and management theories and practices, such as operating the differentiated ‘EMTT Course Masters Track’ compared to other universities.
