The purpose is to emphasize the necessity of impeachment measures against Chief Justice Kim and to build national consensus.
On the afternoon of the 12th, the day of the Lunar New Year, People Power Party spokesperson Bae Jun-young participated in the relay protest holding a placard that read "Kim Myung-soo, Resign" in front of the party office in Jung-gu, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province. On the first day of the holiday, the 11th, lawmakers Song Seok-jun (Icheon), Kim Woong (Songpa Gap), Kim Mi-ae (Haeundae Eul), and Park Soo-young (Nam-gu Gap) also conducted relay protests in their respective constituencies and shared verification photos on social media (SNS).
Lawmaker Song said, "Even in the difficult situation caused by COVID-19, when we are trying to find hope, I could not tolerate the rule of law being destroyed by the wrong political forces," adding, "The response from citizens at the scene was positive, with calls to 'correct the Republic of Korea'."
On the morning of the 11th, Song Seok-jun, a member of the People Power Party, participated in a relay protest demanding the impeachment of Kim Myung-soo in front of Icheon Station, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.

The People Power Party plans to file a complaint against Chief Justice Kim with the prosecution on the 15th. Previously, lawmaker Kim Ki-hyun, who heads the impeachment transaction investigation team, stated that if Chief Justice Kim does not resign during the Lunar New Year holiday, immediate prosecution would follow. Spokesperson Bae explained, "Since it appears that Chief Justice Kim will not submit his resignation, we have decided to take prosecutorial action," adding, "Charges may include dereliction of duty, abuse of authority, and forgery of official documents."

It seems unlikely that the impeachment card discussed earlier in the National Assembly will be used. Spokesperson Bae said, "Even if impeachment is proposed, if it is rejected, Chief Justice Kim might receive a clean bill of health, and it could be seen as a countermeasure against the ruling party's impeachment efforts, which raised concerns," adding, "The consensus within the party is that a wrong Chief Justice must resign to leave a record, and we decided to raise our voices by reflecting public opinion."
On the 11th, Kim Mi-ae, a member of the People Power Party, participated in a relay protest demanding the impeachment of Kim Myung-soo in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
