[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases related to a dance hall and restaurant located in Juyeop-dong, Ilsan Seo-gu, Gyeonggi Province has increased to 46.
Goyang City announced, "On the 10th, 12 people were confirmed positive, and as of 4 p.m. on the 11th, 10 more people were confirmed positive, totaling 22 new COVID-19 cases."
As a result, 18 additional confirmed cases were reported, including 12 Goyang citizens and 6 citizens from other regions, bringing the cumulative total to 46.
According to the city, excluding the first confirmed case on the 3rd, there were 34 direct visitors, 4 family members of visitors, 4 contacts of visitors, and 3 Nth-generation infections among contacts' families.
The city confirmed that the confirmed cases used the dance hall and then ate food, drank alcohol, and beverages together at a nearby restaurant, and is conducting epidemiological investigations to identify their movement paths and contacts.
Meanwhile, the city imposed fines of 1.5 million won each on the two business owners who violated quarantine rules and ordered the closure of the establishments until the 22nd.
