Cable TV Association Unveils 8 Outstanding Local Channel Programs for Q4 2020

On the 10th, the Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association announced that out of 132 entries aired in the fourth quarter of last year, a total of eight works were selected as outstanding works by category: four in news, two in regular programming, and two in special features.
The winners in the regular programming category included "Promotion is Amazing Studio (D'Live Yongsan Broadcasting)" and "On-site Capture Facts (SK Broadband Hanbit Broadcasting)."
In the news category, the selected works were "Gwangju·Jeonnam Naju SRF Conflict... Is There No Solution? (CMB Gwangju Broadcasting)," "Illegal Waste Landfilling on Farmland at Night (Hyundai HCN Chungbuk Broadcasting)," "Suspicious Mask Transactions Between Nowon District Office and an Incumbent District Council Member Couple (D'Live Nowon Broadcasting)," and "Crisis of Local Universities: A Series of Investigative Reports (LG HelloVision Gaya Broadcasting)."
In the special feature category, "Disasters Created by Humanity, The Building Wind Blows! (SK Broadband Southeast Broadcasting)" and "The Ten-Thousand-Year Secret of the Lava Forest Gotjawal (KCTV Jeju Broadcasting)" were selected.

Kim Sung-jin, chairman of the Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association, evaluated, "During the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic when everyone was exhausted and struggling, regional channels worked hard in various ways to keep up the fight against the virus," adding, "Various issues raising awareness for awakened citizens with a sense of regional issues were delivered through regional channels."
