[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Tollgate employees responsible for collecting toll fees on nationwide expressways have withdrawn their decision to go on a general strike scheduled for the 10th, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to Korea Expressway Corporation Service on the 9th, the Korea Road Corporation Service Union under the Korean Federation of Trade Unions, composed of toll collectors nationwide, called off the strike after last-minute negotiations with management. The union had planned to start the general strike from 6 a.m. on the 10th.
