Inspection of Corporate Investment and Development Sites in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, an Investment Hotspot
Exploring Various Corporate Attraction Strategies to Enhance Investment Appeal
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City in Gyeongnam is continuing a hectic pace since the beginning of the year to achieve visible results in attracting investments totaling 4 trillion won.
On the 8th, the city visited major corporate investment and development sites in Jinhae-gu to check the progress of ongoing projects.
Recently, Jinhae, which has established itself as a port and logistics hub located at Busan New Port and Jinhae New Port, has attracted significant interest from many investment companies.
Jinhae offers advantages such as reduced logistics costs, industrial infrastructure and labor force adjacent to large-scale industrial complexes nearby, and land prices lower than those in central Changwon.
Moreover, designated as a Special Industrial Crisis Response Area and Employment Crisis Area, it has rapidly emerged as an investment hotspot due to benefits such as regional employment promotion subsidies and additional investment subsidies of up to 20%.
Park Myungjong, Director of the Economic and Job Creation Bureau, along with the investment attraction team, visited 12 major investment project sites including key industrial complexes and logistics complexes in Jinhae-gu to inspect the progress of investments by companies.
He also identified idle land for attracting promising target companies, considered investment attraction targets reflecting the regional investment trend centered on port logistics, and prepared plans to enhance Changwon’s investment appeal.
