"Post a Traffic Safety Certification Photo on SNS and Receive Generous Prizes"
Korea Transportation Safety Authority Launches On-tact Traffic Safety Campaign for Lunar New Year Holiday
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] The Korea Transportation Safety Authority announced on the 8th that it will conduct the 'Seol Holiday On-tact Traffic Safety Campaign' until the 14th.
This campaign is a non-face-to-face traffic safety campaign aimed at preventing traffic accidents during the Seol holiday period, during which about 470 accidents occur daily on average.
Participants who take traffic safety certification photos according to the themes suggested by the Authority will be entered into a draw to receive prizes such as Galaxy Watch 3 (2 winners) and Onnuri gift certificates worth 20,000 KRW (100 winners).
To participate, take a certification photo of one of the following: △ fastening seat belts in all seats, △ safe order certification for delivery riders, or △ mimicking the Safe Speed 5030 gesture. Then upload it on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag (#) and apply through the Naver form.
The Authority urged drivers to follow safe driving rules during the Seol holiday period due to many traffic safety risk factors such as drowsy driving caused by long-distance driving on the way home and road frost caused by cold weather.

Kwon Yong-bok, Director of the Authority, said, "Although there may not be many vehicles returning to hometowns this Seol holiday due to government guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is important to strictly observe traffic safety rules to ensure a safe holiday free from traffic accidents." He emphasized, "The Authority plans to create a safe traffic culture boom by continuously conducting traffic safety campaigns so that all citizens can participate in fastening seat belts in all seats, safe driving by delivery riders, and observing Safe Speed 5030."
